So on June 21st through July 31, I'll be studying abroad in Lyon, France, and I am beyond excited! I've been studying the language for six years and am majoring in it and know this trip will help my skills immensely.

However, as it is France, I will need to be clothed in incredibly chic outfits, and as it is school, I will need to be comfortable. Here is the beginning of my brainstorm for comfortable, chic outfits.

I'm about to turn to prostitution to purchase these gorgeous black boots, which cost $179. Even the money I got from selling back my text books won't cover half of them (the fact that my school extorts money through books is another bag of issues). The fact that these shoes actually come in my size make me even more thrilled. Options:

1) find a sugar daddy
2) become a prostitute
3) beg and plead mommy
4) wait till I find a job, which will not be till the fall and by that time they'll be sold out of size 12s
5) cry myself to sleep every night

And in conclusion, may I just say that I don't require such expensive footwear... but stores that sell less expensive footwear believe women's feet stop growing at size 10. And while I have found a few gems at Payless and Torrid, which carry size 12, they're not the chicest of footwear retailers. Especially payless.

I bought the gray version of this long, comfortable tank from Wet Seal, because it immediately reminded me of the easy, relaxed style of Alexander Wang, and as I mentioned before, I've been searching for a great tank top. These aren't racer back like I've been seeking, but they're still super soft, LONG (for 6'2'' people like me), 100% cotton (not the nasty stereotypical polyester blends of low end stores like Wet Seal), and $7.50 each. I'm obsessed with this great find. See the rest of the colors here.

While continuing the trend of retail therapy with one of my roommates, I purchased this lovely yellow dress from Forever 21. I don't have that many clothing items that I can wear on the weekends, and this dress is just perfect for summer nights in the heat. I'm going to wear it with my brown gladiators and bronze charm necklace.

And while I hardly ever find anything worthwhile in the baby prostitute apparel retailer Wet Seal, I really loved this simple black top:

It surprisingly fits be very well and it's so simple I can add all sorts of accessories to it. I wore it to a party last weekend with skinny jeans and red ballet flats.

As much as I'd like to upgrade my shopping style to items that don't say "50% cotton, 50% rayon" on the tag, sometimes I just have to go into those cheapy trendy places like Forever 21, Wet Seal, and Charlotte Russe. Of course Forever 21 is my fave, so here are three looks from their site that are standing out to me and giving me that shopping itch.

I'm loving so many things in Reese Witherspoon's outfit here: the lightweightness of the white shirt, the coral color of the necklace, and the fedora. The whole thing is so easy and laidback.

I remedied a really tough week with a trip to the mall-- something that I haven't done in too long. It's not just for the mere sake of buying things, but the mall I go to has a really nice atmosphere and prime people-watching.

While I was there though, however, I purchased this canvas bag with leather tassle and striped shorts at the Gap.

The CW finally pulled the stick out and started airing Gossip Girl again. Just in time to, as I was about to forget all about the affair between Rachel and Dan and I was about to not care whether or not Blair would get admitted to Yale. As I have an obligation every Monday night, I have to wait for iTunes to put up the episodes to download, which usually is on Tuesdays. Anyways, 2x18, The Age of Dissonance aired this week, and as usual, had absolutely fabulous and enviable fashions. Stay tuned for a post of all my favorite GG fashion momments this season.

As an American Apparel addict, I am suprised I missed this terrific racerback tank the last time I was at the store. Being a racerback, it reminds me of the Alexander Wang tank I posted in my last post, and it is made out of the same material as my favorite American Apparel tri-blend v-necks. If you haven't bought and consequently fallen in love with American Apparel v-necks, I highly reccomend that you do. I wear them at least twice a week.

So since Arizona summer is getting closer, it's time for me to start looking into some shorts. Maybe these will inspire both of us this summer. Left to right: Gucci, Lela Rose, Etro, Etro. These ensembles certainly beat the old jean short, ribbed tank, and flip flop uniform girls usually turn to in the summer. Although I do want a pair of distressed jean shorts too.

So I've been in love with the Gucci Spring platforms since first sight, even though I would never wear them myself. They are just such beautiful works of art.

My personal favorite is the orange one. But if I was short and rich I would wear every single one. ♥

I bought these brown gladiators at Payless today. Why do I shop at Payless? Because being 6'2" gave me a size 12 foot and other more stylish shoe stores choose to stop their sizes at 10 (don't get me started).

They do possess some of my favorite qualities: flat, chocolate brown, bronze hardware. It's a shame they're not real leather, but alas I can't have everything. They look like leather from a distance, right?

As much as I try to think of a reason to dislike Rachel Bilson despite her prime style (she's tiny, she's skinny, she has fabulous hair, and is just so damn cute), it's outfits like this that make me give up and give in to the love. Have you ever seen such terrific use of a Native American-inspired skirt, v-neck, and blazer? Ohhh there are no words.
